Call for papers:
“The Phenomenological Mind” Winter School will take place January 26, 27, 28, 2010 in Milan. The event is organized by The Phenomenology and Sciences of the Person Laboratory, the Faculty of Philosophy at the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele of Milan, and the Department of Philosophy at the University of Studies of Milan.
Fifteen students selected among PhD candidates, PhD and young researchers will have the opportunity of leading the discussion on the main topics of Shaun Gallagher and Dan Zahavi’s book, The Phenomenological Mind. An Introduction to Philosophy of Mind and Cognitive Science (Routledge, 2007), giving short presentations (max 20 mins) in one of the following sections:

 

  1. Action and Agency,
  2. Social Cognition e Consciousness,
  3. Person and Pathologies.

 

All selected contributes will be available from January 8 for a preliminary discussion on the web site www.phenomenologylab.eu.
The program of the workshop includes January 27 a public seminar with the participation of the following speakers: Dan Zahavi (Università di Copenhagen), Vittorio Gallese (Università di Parma), Corrado Sinigaglia (Università degli Studi di Milano), Michele Di Francesco (Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele), and Roberta De Monticelli (Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele).
We invite online submissions of extended abstracts in Italian or English (max 3.000 characters) including a short C.V. of the applicant. Submission must be sent to info@phenomenologylab.eu.
